Asturias +  La Vuelta! An incredible combination which our staff fight to be assigned onto! A less hectic approach to following Pro Tours, by taking you on a journey of discovery through secret Asturias, whilst capturing three stages including the mighty Angliru.

ITINERARY

• 6th Sep: Welcome to Asturias Airport (OVD), you are Kingdom & Principality of Asturias!
  • A short drive to our hotel in Aviles where you can check-in & begin setting your bike
  • Welcome & Tour Briefing - as the locals do, enjoy the patriotic Sidra brew!
• 7th Sept: Departing from the hotel we take an easy ride along the coast to get those legs moving
• 8th Sept: Leaving Aviles, we make our way to the largest city in the region, Gijon
• 9th Sept: Leaving Gijon, we make our way along the quiet farm roads to Cangas de Onis
  • We will stay here for 3 nights as we discover the beauty of the Los Picos de Europa and Ponga National Parks
• 10th Sept: Lagos de Covadonga - easily the most sacred ride as you pass Pelayo and his Sanctuary!
  • Read more about the importance of this area by understanding the events of the Reconquista
• 11th Sept: Ponga Loop - another incredible ride in the hills with no traffic, untouched forest and wild animals
• 12th Sept: Rest Day - the group can decide on the following options such as -
  
  • Ride to the Stage 16 Finish in Bejes , transfer to Oviedo afterwards
  • Wonder around Cangas, transfer to Oviedo after lunch
  • Sleep in, drive to Stage 16 finish, then transfer back to our hotel.
• 13th Sept: Stage 17 - The Queen Stage - Mighty Angliru
  
  • The mountain will be busy today, hence for those who wish to view the stage finish, you will need to ride up early
  • The group may choose to locate themselves further down the climb or on another earlier one
• 14th Sept: relaxing morning before riding out to Alto de Tenebredo and La Cruz de Linares to see see Stage 18
• 15th Sept: another flexible day where the group can choose from a range of rides in the area.
• 16th Sept: Adios! A sad moment as we wave goodbye from Asturias Airport (OVD)

• Accommodation: Single (supplement) or Double/Twin Room Accommodation in 4/5 Star Hotels
• Total Nights in Hotel: 10
• Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included in price
• Dinner: all meals are a-la-carte, allowing you to enjoy the fine cuisine.
• Drinks at Dinner: water, soft drinks and 1/2 bottle of wine per person
• Tour Guide/s: riding and supporting the group on the road
• Support Van/s & Driver/s: carrying spare tubes, tools, pump etc.
  • Our vans can carry 9 people, all bikes and luggage, giving you peace of mind and safety in the case of bad weather
• Snacks & Drinks: the van will be equipped daily with water, soft drinks, electrolytes, fruit, muesli bars, fresh bread, cold meats, vegetables etc.
